The company was founded under the name "Uni Electronic Industries," based on a desire to deliver unique and useful electronic products for our universal era. (In 1974, the company's name was changed to Uniden Corporation.)

Uniden is listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) (company code: 3815). In 1986 we were listed as an OTC stock on the TSE; then in 1988 we were listed on the Second Section of the TSE; finally in 1990 we were listed on the First Section of the TSE.
What kind of products does Uniden sell?
Uniden develops, manufactures, and sells telephone-related equipment such as cordless phones and VoIP phones, wireless communications equipment such as CB transceivers and marine radios, and digital consumer electronics products, such as digital terrestrial tuners and LCD TVs.
